Fashion student and illustrator Claudia Domecq, gave me this fantastic present. I wanted to have an illustration and this has been the first one, I am so grateful to Claudia.

There are some piece of clothing that speak for themself, no need to add many accessories, otherwise the outfit may lose its value, this blouse I love so much no matter how many years go by, is a good example. Do you like it?

ALWAYS BURBERRY

Every time we get to know each other a bit better, and you know that apart from being trendy and to be up to date on new trends, I love lifetime cloths, year after year, you can take them out from your closet. Amongst my lifetime cloths I 've got this coat, which I use for everything and I adore it, I feel really at ease with it.

Cada vez nos vamos conociendo un poco más, y sabéis que a parte de ir a la moda y estar al día de todas las tendencias, adoro las prendas para toda la vida que, año tras año, pueda rescatar del armario. Entre mis prendas de siempre tengo este abrigo clásico de Burberry, que me sirve para todo y me encanta, me siento muy cómoda con él.

TRENCH

When the soldiers returned from the front after the war, they carried on wearing their trenches in civilian life.

Punks took hold of the trench during the late Seventies, and the Eighties saw amateur versions of the trench in all styles. For a long time, the trench was associated with intellectual chic because it was classic and never went out of fashion.

It wasn't until 1990, under Artistic Director Roberto Menichetti, that Burberry brought out a new version of the trench, a Thirties-inspired model with the famous Burberry heck incorporated into the design. It sparked a whole new wave of copycat designs.

Today,its indispensable in our closet.

Primero fue una prenda con la que los soldados se cubrían en el frente, después la usaban cuando volvían a la civilización.

Más tarde, en la época de los 70, los punks la pusieron de moda, aunque se extendió a otros estilos durante los 80. Durante mucho tiempo fue una prenda asociada a gente intelectual y nunca dejó de estar de moda.

En 1990 el director artístico de Burberry rediseñó una nueva versión del "tench", un modelo años 30, que desde entonces marcas de todo el mundo han imitado temporada tras temporada.

Hoy es imprescindible en nuestro armario.

LYDIA DELGADO

This week in Madrid it's the famous "Cibeles Fashion week", an event which is becoming more and more important and is getting a better cover from the media. I wanted to show you my favourite creations from Lydia Delgado, a warm and fragile woman, a ballerina turned fashion designer, and who shows us through each one of her collections the exquisiteness and softness she owns.

I choose the ones I would wear, the ones that relates the most with the Bubu Style. Lydia herself and her daughter closed the show with another famous bloguer Gala Gonzalez.

Esta semana es en Madrid la "Cibeles Fashion Week", evento que cada vez tiene más importancia y cobertura mediática. Quería mostrar las creaciones que más me gustaron de Lydia Delgado, esta cálida y frágil mujer que pasó de bailarina a diseñadora, y que en cada una de sus colecciones nos deja ver la exquisitez y dulzura que ella posee.

He seleccionado los diseños que yo me pondría, los que más tienen que ver con el Bubu Style. De cerrar el desfile se encargaron la propia Lydia junto con su hija Miranda Makaroff y con otra conocida bloguera, Gala Gonzalez.

TARTAN JACKET

I have always loved tartan patterns, I think it is a lovely elegant fashion and cloths to keep for a lifetime. This is another purchase of mine from Macy's (New York), every time I was going there I had to take a taxi because it was impossible to take the metro with so many bags. MCQUEEN

Visionary, dearer, controversial, persistent, hard worker, he was the best example of a humble child who can get far with his talent, hard work and discipline.

He gave us inspiration, and memorable pictures for the memory, but he found himself in the darkness and sadness, sinister, just like some of his creations that half of the world admire so much.

His work will stay forever in our memory, he, now legend, Alexander McQueen, willa always be with us and through the inspiration of many of us who want to make it.

Visionario, atrevido, polémico, tenaz, persistente, trabajador, el era el más claro ejemplo de que un chico humilde, puede llegar a lo más alto con talento, trabajo duro y disciplina.

Nos ha regalado inspiración e imágenes inolvidables para el recuerdo, pero se encontraba en un pozo lleno de oscuridad y tristeza, siniestro, como algunas de sus creaciones que medio mundo admiró, pozo del que desgraciadamente, no consiguió salir.

Su trabajo permanecerá siempre en nuestro recuerdo, y el ya "Leyenda" Alexander Mcqueen, estará siempre con nosotros y en la inspiración de muchos que están por llegar.

Hasta siempre, Descansa en paz.

TWO CELEBRITIES, ONE PONCHO

I wanted to share this observation for fashion lovers like me. For those who know "The Devil wears Prada" and "Cashmere Mafia", check that Anne Anne Hathaway and Lucy Liu shares the same poncho in a different serial and film.

I couldn't manage to find out from which designer it was, but it is splendid. Even the greatest production uses the same pieces of clothing, which means it doesn't matter if we do so.

If anyone knows the name of the designer, please comment it on the blog.

Tenía ganas de compartir esta observación con los amantes de la moda como yo. Para los que conozcáis "Devil Wears Prada" y "Cashmere Mafia", mirad que Anne Anne Hathaway y Lucy Liu comparten un mismo poncho en una serie y película diferentes.

No he conseguido averiguar de qué diseñador es, pero es una maravilla. Hasta en las mejores producciones repiten prendas, así que si lo hacemos nosotras, no pasa nada.

Si alguien sabe de qué diseñador es, que lo cuente en mi blog.

I LOVE MARBELLA

I love Marbella, Saturdays with a temperature of 22°C in February and the Mojitos at the "Ranchón Cubano", a lovely bar in Marbella where they serve the best Mojitos in the Costa del Sol.

I need so many days like this one, where I put my dad's shirt on to be at ease, and I only worry about making the most of the smells, tastes and sensations which make me so happy.

Adoro Marbella, los sábados a 22 grados en Febrero y los Mojitos en el "Ranchón Cubano", un chiringuito ideal de Marbella donde ponen los mejores Mojitos de la Costa del Sol.
