Three summers ago, I had the chance to travel to Malta to study English, and there I met someone who is today one of my best friends, she's called Jacqueline, and was born in Venezuela and lives in Galicia, where I had the chance to spend a wonderful couple of weeks, enjoy the XACOBEO, visit beautiful places, eat a lot of octupus and share tons of things with her.

I am very lucky to have such good friends in my city-country and abroad, with whom to share lovely experiences, and I'm taking this opportunity on my blog to present them to you, as they are part of my life and also to tell them that I love them,

Hace 3 veranos, tuve la oportunidad de ir a Malta a estudiar inglés, y allí conocí a la que es hoy una de mis mejores amigas, se llama Jacquelline nació en Venezuela y vive en Galicia, donde he tenido la oportunidad de pasar dos semanas maravillosas, disfrutar del XACOBEO, conocer sitios preciosos, comer mucho pulpo y compartir infinidad de cosas con ella.

This summer, even if I haven't been very present on the blog, and I'm so sorry about that, it's being great. Last week, a beautiful venezuelan girl, one of my best friends, like an elder sister to me, surprised me by coming to visit me in Malaga, leaving the capital for a few days. We spent the day on a beautiful beach which ended with salsa, mijitos and a bunch of laughter. There's nothing like sharing with your friends unforgettable experiences, confessions, dances, funny moments and a lot of affection.

Some times ago I went to Bali and it was the purest experience I ever had, I will never forget the perfumes I smelt there, I had the opportunity to discover the kindness and the courtesy of the locals, their beautiful and unkown features, the taste of the food, the beaches, their passion for surfing that attracts surfers from all around the world in search of the dream wave and a thousand of other things that won't even fit in this text. It's the perfect place to get married like Alejandro Sanz once did, and between us... I wouldn't mind doing it myself. Doesn't it seem marvellous?

Me gustaría mostraros algunas instantáneas de Bali la cual fue la experiencia más pura que he tenido, jamás olvidaré los olores que allí tuve la oportunidad de descubrir, la amabilidad y gentileza de los locales, sus bellísimos y desconocidos rasgos, el sabor de la comida, las playas, el amor al surf que allí congrega a surferos de todo el mundo en busca de la ola soñada y mil cosas más que habrían hecho muy pesado este texto. Es el lugar perfecto para casarse como en su día hizo Alejandro Sanz, y entre nosotras… No me importaría casarme allí!! ¿No os parecería maravilloso?

DAY IN GRANADA

Ersamus is a great time to make great friends amongst many other things. I am lucky to count on a friend, almost sister, I bet will always be part of my life. The last WE, she and her mum and sister left the city of the Eiffel tower to walk on the beaches of the Costa del Sol.

It has been some beautiful days, which gave me a lot of energy and happiness, and made me realised once more, how important it is to have lovely people around you and forget about the ones that make you miserable and prohibit you to get on with your life or make you worse than you already are. Here's a photo we took in Granada, where we spent a day. I'll soon show you some more.

La beca Erasmus sirve entre otras cosas, para hacer grandes amigos. Yo tengo la suerte de contar con una amiga, casi hermana, que apuesto, estará en mi vida siempre. El fin de semana pasado ella, su madre y hermana, han dejado la ciudad de la Torre Eiffel para pasear por las playas de la Costa del Sol.

Han sido unos días maravillosos, que me han dado mucha energía y felicidad y me han hecho ver una vez más, lo importante que es tener a buenas personas cerca y desechar las que no te hacen el bien y te impiden avanzar o te hacen ser peor de lo que ya podemos ser. Mi primer día en la 5 Avenida de New York fue muy curioso, cuando iba a paso ligero (es imposible ir por la 5 paseando, el ruido, la gente, el ambiente en general, te hace casi correr) deseando llegar a Saks, descubrí Abercrombie. Su olor (se olía el ambientador a 2 manzanas), ya me llamó la atención y cuando pasé por la puerta y me encontré con estos chicos… Solo os digo que el resto de mi estancia en la ciudad pasaba por la puerta a diario para contemplar al chico moreno de la derecha, todo un regalo de la naturaleza. Entrar es todo un espectáculo, parece una discoteca más que una tienda, con todos los dependientes bailando a media luz, al son de una música a todo tren. ¿La ropa…? Ahh, creo que estaba bien, muy AMERICAN BASIC.

¿A alguien le gustaría asistir al casting dónde eligen a estos regalos de la naturaleza o soy solo yo???

My first day on the 5th Avenue was quite strange, when I was walking slowly (it's impossible to walk slowly on the 5th avenue, the noise, the people, the general environment makes you run) wanted to arrive at Sacks, I discovered XXXXX. The perfume (it smelled of apple freshner), it retained my atention and when I went through the door I found these boys... I 'm only telling you that for the rest of stay there I went through that door to admire that brown boy on the right, a gift from mother nature. Entering was a real show, it looks like a disco more than a shop, with all the shop assistants dancing about with the music full blast. The cloths? Ahhh I think it was good, very AMERICAN BASIC.

Anyone for the casting where to choose these marvellous people?

It was a pleasure to spend this moment with them, answer their questions and above all, the best moment of the interview was when they told me that my "Seño Tere" my kindergarten teacher was on the line, she's now a great friend of mine, and Tere talk to them as I was at their place and they wanted her to talk to me on the phone.How nice is it to have her by my side since I was three, sometimes life gives you these people for whom you have to say thank you everyday.

Javier Nieto, fashion disigner student and a great friend of mine, gave me this present. It's done by hand and coloured with watercolors and gouache. Acording to him, this is me in 10 years time with some surgical retouches and a lot more sophisticated. I loved it and it's astonishing to think that I will be this astonishing in 10 years time.

I love the sea, I love it when it's hot and I can have a swim, the smell that rain leaves on the sand, I love it when it gets furious, watching the reflect of the moon at night fills me with good energies...

I truly adore all its aspects and all the plans you can make with the sea as main protagonist. It's also amazing to get up early and go and see how the sailors bring the fish to coast, and they even have the kindness to give you one to cook at home... It's a unique and marvelous experience, a pleasure for all the senses.

After seeing all the catwalk shows in London, Madrid, New York, Milan and last but not least Paris, here are my suggestions for "Paris Fashion Week".

The designers that I liked most were Azzaro, Christian Dior and Louis Vuitton, it was really hard to choose what to show you as the collections were magnificent. I have to say that my favourite cities were Madrid and Paris regarding the fashion week, as it is where I saw the best proposals.

Now it's your turn to keep on voting, and in a couple of weeks I'll show you the ones who received the most votes for each city.

FERRAGAMO'S ORIGINS IN OLD HOLLYWOOD

Salvatore Ferragamo opened its Fall-Winter 2010-2011 collection with a reel montage homaged to the man who built the classic brand. Ever so cooly, models appeared and strutted along the promenade to Joni Mitchell‘s "Coyote", a fitting song for the collection, which communicated a late -1960 meets Safari- vibe in rich earth tones and metallics. Chief menswear designer, Massimiliano Giornetti who recently took the helm of the women‘s operation, kept things classically casual with suades and knits, but threw in some brilliant touches like solid brass belts that looked the waist-brecelets. While the collection boasted a New York boho chic contemporary to the Baby Boomer generation, Giornetti stayed true to Ferragamo‘s origin in Old Hollywood with subtleties like a stunning chain mail dress that looked like a blown-up metal link flapper purse from the 1920‘s.

HIGHLY GLAM COLLECTION FOR GUCCI

Frida Giannini got us excited with this highly glam collection for Gucci, very wearable, commercial and referencing the fashion house's archives from the '70s and '90s, Giannini offered a sophisticated yet relaxed vibe in "cappuccino" colours, over-the-knee suede boots, Oversized cashmere coats and lean coats with fur collars and ostrich feathers . Luxury furs included mix-tinted fox jackets, a sable jacket interwoven with suede, a camel-hair coat with knitted mink lining. There was lots of tailoring once again, and a fantastic use of suede, fur and leather. The handbags were notably absence.

Frida Giannini ha ofrecido esta temporada una lujosa colección para Gucci, ponible, comercial, y un referente a los archivos de la casa de los 70 y 90. Giannini nos acerca prendas sofisticadas pero relajadas, de la mano de colores "capuccino", botas de ante por encima de la rodilla, abrigos grandes de cashmere y abrigos estrechos con plumas de avestruz y cuellos de piel.

También hemos podido ver mucha sastrería y lujosas pieles como cibelina, visón, camello, avestruz y cuero. Los bolsos fueron notablemente la ausencia.

When the soldiers returned from the front after the war, they carried on wearing their trenches in civilian life.

Punks took hold of the trench during the late Seventies, and the Eighties saw amateur versions of the trench in all styles. For a long time, the trench was associated with intellectual chic because it was classic and never went out of fashion.

It wasn't until 1990, under Artistic Director Roberto Menichetti, that Burberry brought out a new version of the trench, a Thirties-inspired model with the famous Burberry heck incorporated into the design. It sparked a whole new wave of copycat designs.

Today,its indispensable in our closet.

Primero fue una prenda con la que los soldados se cubrían en el frente, después la usaban cuando volvían a la civilización.

Más tarde, en la época de los 70, los punks la pusieron de moda, aunque se extendió a otros estilos durante los 80. Durante mucho tiempo fue una prenda asociada a gente intelectual y nunca dejó de estar de moda.

En 1990 el director artístico de Burberry rediseñó una nueva versión del "tench", un modelo años 30, que desde entonces marcas de todo el mundo han imitado temporada tras temporada.

Big boots, sophisticated clothes, technological cloths and colours, stamped with the Como region of Italy, a wink to the 50's, headdress, purple glitters, rabbit hair and her fetish clothes such as coats, shown to us strong coloured, quilted and silky.

A collection full of romanticism in which black is present as the "Winter King" just like Alma Aguilar says it.

The first coat which she opened the fashion show with is bordered with silk frills, an authentic jewel which shows us this wonderful designer with personality print all over her clothes, the ones we are able to find on the high streets so we can wear them at anytime and any place.

I have to say that Alma Aguilar has the kindness of answering to the messages left by people like me who admire her, and this gives her so much credit. What are deified and unreachable people worth? CONGRATULATIONS ALMA AND THANK YOU!!

Botas grandes, prendas sofisticadas, tejidos y colores tecnológicos, estampados de la región de Como (Italia), guiños a los años 50, tocados, destellos morados, pelo de conejo y su prenda fetiche como son los abrigos, nos los muestra de colores fuertes, acolchados y de seda.

Una colección llena de romanticismo en la que el negro ha estado presente como "Rey del invierno" tal y como lo llama la propia estrella Alma Aguilar.

El primer abrigo con el que abrió el desfile está bordado con volantes de seda, una auténtica joya que nos muestra esta maravillosa diseñadora de personalidad marcada en sus prendas, las cuales lleva a la calle para que podamos vestir sus creaciones en cualquier momento y lugar.

He de decir que Alma Aguilar tiene la amabilidad de contestar a los mensajes a las personas que como yo, la admiramos, y eso la honra ¿de qué valen las personas endiosadas e inalcanzables? FELICIDADES ALMA Y GRACIAS!!

I wanted to show you my favourite creations from Lydia Delgado, a warm and fragile woman, a ballerina turned fashion designer, and who shows us through each one of her collections the exquisiteness and softness she owns.

I choose the ones I would wear, the ones that relates the most with the Bubu Style. Lydia herself and her daughter closed the show with another famous bloguer Gala Gonzalez.

Visionary, dearer, controversial, persistent, hard worker, he was the best example of a humble child who can get far with his talent, hard work and discipline.

He gave us inspiration, and memorable pictures for the memory, but he found himself in the darkness and sadness, sinister, just like some of his creations that half of the world admire so much.

His work will stay forever in our memory, he, now legend, Alexander McQueen, willa always be with us and through the inspiration of many of us who want to make it.

Visionario, atrevido, polémico, tenaz, persistente, trabajador, el era el más claro ejemplo de que un chico humilde, puede llegar a lo más alto con talento, trabajo duro y disciplina.

Nos ha regalado inspiración e imágenes inolvidables para el recuerdo, pero se encontraba en un pozo lleno de oscuridad y tristeza, siniestro, como algunas de sus creaciones que medio mundo admiró, pozo del que desgraciadamente, no consiguió salir.

Su trabajo permanecerá siempre en nuestro recuerdo, y el ya "Leyenda" Alexander Mcqueen, estará siempre con nosotros y en la inspiración de muchos que están por llegar.

I wanted to share this observation for fashion lovers like me. For those who know "The Devil wears Prada" and "Cashmere Mafia", check that Anne Anne Hathaway and Lucy Liu shares the same poncho in a different serial and film.

I couldn't manage to find out from which designer it was, but it is splendid. Even the greatest production uses the same pieces of clothing, which means it doesn't matter if we do so.

If anyone knows the name of the designer, please comment it on the blog.

Tenía ganas de compartir esta observación con los amantes de la moda como yo. Para los que conozcáis "Devil Wears Prada" y "Cashmere Mafia", mirad que Anne Anne Hathaway y Lucy Liu comparten un mismo poncho en una serie y película diferentes.

No he conseguido averiguar de qué diseñador es, pero es una maravilla. Hasta en las mejores producciones repiten prendas, así que si lo hacemos nosotras, no pasa nada.

Si alguien sabe de qué diseñador es, que lo cuente en mi blog.

I love Marbella, Saturdays with a temperature of 22°C in February and the Mojitos at the "Ranchón Cubano", a lovely bar in Marbella where they serve the best Mojitos in the Costa del Sol.

I need so many days like this one, where I put my dad's shirt on to be at ease, and I only worry about making the most of the smells, tastes and sensations which make me so happy.

Adoro Marbella, los sábados a 22 grados en Febrero y los Mojitos en el "Ranchón Cubano", un chiringuito ideal de Marbella donde ponen los mejores Mojitos de la Costa del Sol.

Necesito tanto días como este, que me enfundo una camisa de mi padre para estar lo más cómoda posible, y solo me preocupo de disfrutar de los olores, sabores y sensaciones que tan feliz me hacen.
